About
George Owens | Exercise Physiologist | PerforMotion Brisbane
George Owens is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist at PerforMotion, Teneriffe, Brisbane, dedicated to helping individuals achieve their health, fitness, and performance goals. With a background in group coaching, clinical exercise physiology, and competitive sport, George combines professional expertise with lived experience to deliver personalised, evidence-based programs that empower clients to move and feel better.
George holds a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology (Honours) from The University of Queensland, where his Honours research focused on trauma-informed approaches to exercise. He has also completed Certificate III and IV in Personal Training, giving him a strong foundation in both clinical exercise prescription and practical coaching in Brisbane.
He supports clients across a wide range of needs including chronic disease management, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, NDIS exercise physiology, DVA services, WorkCover rehabilitation, and strength and conditioning. George is particularly passionate about bridging the gap between clinical care and athletic performance.
Outside of the clinic, George is an active amateur boxer with multiple state-level achievements, a background that fuels his passion for performance, resilience, and strength-based training. He integrates these principles into his work, helping Brisbane clients build confidence, improve fitness, and achieve lasting results.
George's approach is centred on the individual. At PerforMotion's Teneriffe gym and exercise physiology clinic, he creates an inclusive, supportive environment that meets clients where they are, whether recovering from injury, enhancing athletic performance, or improving overall wellbeing.
